Planning a Dreamy Proposal

Planning a Dreamy Proposal

When a photographer in Arkansas was hired to hike to a sought-after landmark in order to snap photos of a happy couple as they got engaged as the sun rose, he thought his task was simple enough. The stunning natural atmosphere was the perfect romantic place to pop the question, so much so that another couple was about to do the same thing at the same time in the same place! This led the photographer to capture the magical moment for the wrong couple.

Timing is Everything

Timing is Everything

There was no way that the photographer, or the men proposing to their respective girlfriends, would have known that another couple would also be getting engaged while out for an early morning hike. The photographer was not aware that the man who had actually hired him to capture his proposal on film was running late. His phone did not have a signal so he could not call or text to see where his clients were. He also did not have any sort of description of the couple to know he was taking photos of the right people. So he naturally assumed that the couple that was present was the one he was working for. After all, what is the likelihood that two couples would be getting engaged in the same place at roughly the same time on the same day?

A Happy Surprise

A Happy Surprise

The man who ended up in the photographer’s pictures with his girlfriend had actually tried to arrange for a photographer for his proposal but said that none were available for the special day. That was why he and his fiancé were so surprised to spot the photographer in the distance. Even though they never interacted the day of the proposal, the couple got in touch with the photographer afterwards when they discovered he had posted the pictures of them on Facebook. They soon learned that the photos from their beautiful engagement were creating quite a lot of buzz on social media.

A Let-down for the Other Couple?

A Let-down for the Other Couple?

Unfortunately for the man who had actually hired the photographer, his proposal was not documented the way he had planned because they were running late and there was no way for the two to communicate as there are not cell signals in that area of the mountains. The photographer wasn’t even aware what had happened until he had arrived back home. He has tried to reach out to the couple to make things right. He expressed that he hopes that the happy couple also gets the photographs they dreamed of.

If you are planning your own unique proposal that happens to involve other people, make sure to be clear about every last detail to avoid any proposal mix ups!
